Abstract

• In July 2019, Deflation in the City of Banjarmasin amounted to 0.09 percent. The inflation rate for the 2019 calendar (July 2019 against December 2018) was 3.11 percent and the inflation rate "year on year" was 4.21 percent. Commodities which have decreased in price with the highest share of deflation in Banjarmasin City include air transportation, cork fish, garlic, mackerel / bloated fish, eggplant.
• In Tanjung City, in July 2019 there was inflation of 0.18 percent. The inflation rate of the calendar in 2019 (July 2019 against December 2018) inflation was 1.70 percent and the inflation rate of "year on year" was 0.96 percent. Commodities experiencing price increases with the highest share of inflation in Tanjung City include: rice, chicken, tilapia, spinach, watermelon.
• Out of 82 cities that calculate the consumer price index, there were 55 cities experiencing inflation, 27 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation in the city of Sibolga was 1.88 percent, and the lowest in the city of Makassar was 0.01 percent. The city that experienced the highest deflation in Tual City was 1.55 percent and the lowest deflation in Gorontalo was 0.02 percent.
