Abstract
In December 2013 the city of Banjarmasin experienced inflation of 1.23 percent. Of the 66 cities in Indonesia, there were 61 cities experienced inflation, while 5 other cities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation was in the city of Manado at 2.69 percent and the lowest occurred in Tangerang City and Palembang each by 0.04 percent, while the highest deflation occurred in the city of Mulberry deflation of 0.44 percent and the lowest occurred in the city of Kendari 0.05 percent.
Banjarmasin Inflation occurs due to price increases shown by the increase in the index of foodstuffs by 2.53 percent, processed food rose by 0.59 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose by 0.93 per cent , clothing rose by 0.01 per cent, the health group rose by 0.64 percent, education, recreation and sport rose by 0.02 per cent, transport, communications, and financial services rose by 1.27 per cent.
